Meet our guides!

Did you know that a few of our members own and/or operate their own guide service? Each of our guides offer a unique experience and excel at the services they provide. WI Women Fish supports all members to help them achieve their fishing goals. Whether that goal is to catch a new personal best, learn to drive a boat, or obtain your Captain’s license, we’ve got your back and are here to support you all the way! Some of these ladies credit that support to gaining the confidence needed to follow their dreams.

Brenda Maier with True North Guiding & Outfitters, in Hayward, WI

Brenda Maier and her husband, John, will take you musky fishing in a freaking canoe! Actually, you will target multiple species as you adventure through the waters of the Chequamegon National Forest. An unforgettable northwoods experience. Go to True North Guiding And Outfitters on Facebook or truenorthguides.com to book your getaway!

Captain Barb Carey on Lake Michigan, out of Sheboygan, WI

Captain Barb Carey is a teacher. She takes people salmon fishing out of Sheboygan and teaches them how they can find success even in a 18’ deep-v boat. Not only do her guests learn a ton, they also bring home some BIG fish! Captain Barb also offers classes on trolling on Castle Rock Lake or ice fishing trips at various destinations. For more information or to book a trip, send a message on Captain Barb Carey Facebook page, or email icefishher@gmail.com.

Captain Shelly Holland is living her dream in Bayfield, WI

Captain Shelly Holland offers breathtaking tours of the Apostle Islands and sea caves on Lake Superior. The most adventurous and popular tour is to Devil’s Island, where you power boat out, then hop on the kayaks to explore the sea caves. For more information, go to escapeexcursion.com or on Facebook.
*Shelly can also be found guiding on the ice in Minnesota with SKS guide service

Julie Lane with Lane’s All Outdoors, Lake Mille Lacs, MN

Julie Lane offers a unique way of fishing for smallmouth bass on Lake Mille Lacs. Julie joined her brother, Jeff, with his guide service Lane’s All Outdoors. Members frequently book with Julie, because you are (almost) guaranteed multiple master angler smallies! You can learn more at Fishing with Julie and lanesalloutdoors.com.

Tj Gramberg with Bent Rod Adventures, Siren, WI

TJ Gramberg, along with her husband, Lee, own and operate Bent Rod Adventures. They take groups out on their pontoon for 6 hour evening trips to target giant channel catfish. With them, you will learn how to find catfish, how to fight large fish, and how you can be successful on your
own adventure. Check out Bent Rod Adventures on Facebook or email bentrodadventures@gmail.com.

Corie Berrigan with a smallie on the fly

If you are thinking of exploring the world of Fly Angling or wanting to improve casting or fishing skills, Corie Berrigan can help. A great resource for choosing equipment, fly tying, and multi-species fly angling year round on a variety of waters. Corie can be booked directly, or as an instructor or guide through a new fly fishing school Margo+Lola in ‘The Driftless’ near Ellsworth WI. ffwoman001@gmail.com or Facebook FFWOMAN001
