WI Women Fish was created to help women become more active in the sport of fishing. When we first started there was a handful of women with the same passion.
We started out shore fishing, and now are able to fish many inland lakes and river and have even started venturing out on BIG water of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. The club has grown and in addition to social fishing outings we also give educational clinics on a variety of fishing topics. From new beginners, to tournament anglers we try to give women the support they need for whatever their fishing goals are.
We are a club and collect dues of $45 per year. With that money we buy a liability insurance policy, pay for the web site, administrative costs and continue to produce quality group fishing events for you to attend. We have ice fished on Lake Superior, landed big fish from the barge on the Mississippi River and have perfected our fall Fish Camp which draws in Women from many states. We age in range from 18 –84 and everyone is welcome. We even have three generations as members. New anglers will find many helpful members and all levels of experience are invited to join.
One big advantage of becoming a club member is to get first chance at signing up for some events that by nature, can have only a limited number of Women attend. Members are added to the members only facebook page, and share tips and meet up to fish in-between events.
We try to keep the costs down but the quality of the events are impressive. Some events are free and others have a fee depending on the activity. Members are notified of new events before they are placed on the web site.
To join the club fill just click on the membership tab. You must be a club member to attend any of the events. Come fishing with us. You will have a blast.
