Join us for one of Wisconsin’s most popular winter activities, Walleye Fishing. This event is a combination of virtual and in person. We plan on fishing Castle Rock Lake out of Juneau County Castle Rock Park. That is located on the southwest side of the lake. The park has a boat launch with parking right at the water. Park fee of $5 needs to be paid at the gate. There is a self serve kiosk. This part of the lake the main lake and has the river channel running through it. There are steep drops, brush, humps and current. We are going to do some videos prior to the event to show you how we set up to fish this, and some tips about finding the fish once out there. Those videos will be shared on the members only facebook page.
For this event, you will need to be self sufficient, but we will be happy to give you a ride out. We have arranged with a local guide to help us transport people out to the fishing grounds via side by side. The club has gear lending so if you want to grab a few friends and use a club hub shack and heaters, we can help you out. We also have tip ups, and other loaner items including a few vexilars. We will not be setting up hub shacks for this, but you are welcome to the loaner gear.

There will be a $30 fee for this event. $5 of that will go towards a big fish pot. Biggest walleye gets 75% 2nd place gets 25%. Contest is for Saturday only.
If you need lodging for the event, we just found some cabins and a bait shop that are right near the launch. Here is a link.
