The goal of this event is to help members get more confident fishing on big water. We will be trolling and jigging for walleye. Boat control, proper jigging techniques, and trolling for walleyes will all be part of the lesson plan. During this event, we help to pair up boaters and non boaters to find the best skill sharing possible. Some boaters are fairly new to fishing big water and we look for experienced non boaters to pair them with. This is not a first come first serve like the rest of our events are. We try to give as much support as we can to the boaters who are new to this type of fishing. We always try to take as many people as we can, but we are limited due the number of boaters that sign up. Registration for boaters will open first, and we then have an idea how many non boaters we will be able to take. We do have a discount code at the hotel we are using. That and more info can be found on the members only page.
You should have a deep V boat at least 16 feet long. We try to find some shelters area’s to fish if it get to windy but the reality is that is it big water and it can get ugly quick. We provide on the water support and we do everything we can to make this a safe and educational event. We have caught a lot of fish at this event over the years and it is some people’s favorite.
