Join us for a weekend steelhead fishing. We are headed to the Bois Brule River in northern WI. This is the weekend after the season opener. By then, winter will be melting away, and flowing downstream to Lake Superior. There are 23 miles of fishable river that we will have access to. Learning the spot to fish is one of the best advantages of this trip.
On Friday night, there will be a seminar with famous guide Garett Svir. He will teach us how to rig up our rods to drift fish the holes where fish are holding. There will be a hands on fly tying demo for the most popular patterns on the Bois Brule. Steelhead floats, tubing, weights, yarn flies, hooks and spawn sacks will be included in the goodie bags.
For those fishing job your own, we will break up into small groups and access the river at new spots we learn. More details on what type of gear will work best will be given on our facebook event page. You will need waders and you should probably bring snow shoes. Some use walking sticks. This is a physically challenging event, but spots can be accessed that don’t require as much difficulty. Registration will open soon.
