Join us for one of our more popular events. The ice fishing class that we provide will be in depth. We want you to walk away knowing how to look for safe ice learn all the important safety aspects of this thrilling sport. In addition to learning how to dress for success, we cover everything including, jigging, tip ups, tip downs, electronics, mapping, finding fish, drilling holes, and setting up shelters. We cover bait selection ( both live bait and artificial), line, leaders, knots and provide all the gear you will need for the event.
We will provide on ice transportation due in part to our dedicated pool of volunteer mentors. This class will be taught by Women from WI Women Fish and led by Captain Barb Carey and Rikki Pardun. It begins with class room Friday night and continues with on ice sessions both Saturday and Sunday. The classroom portion will be held in Oxford WI and the on ice portion will be determined closer to the event.
