Join us if you want to learn how to walk on water. We LOVE to ice fish and we would LOVE to show you all the tips and tricks of finding success on the ice.
The day starts with two hours of class room and then we head out onto the lake. This year we are fishing Parker Lake in Oxford WI. We will be fishing for a variety of species.
Class includes instruction on the following topics;
- Ice Safety
- How to dress for success
- Hole drilling
- Jigging
- Tip ups
- Tip downs
- Portable shelpters
- Vexilar electronics
- Fish handling
Local lodging is available. Our bait shop has a rental house that can been rented for the weekend. If class attendee’s want to chip in and rent the house, that can be arranged.
The weekend will start with a meet and greet at Oxford Pub and Grub on Friday night. Dinner on your own and mingle with class instructors and other students. Class starts at 8:00 am Saturday morning. After two hours of class room, we will head over to Parker lake. The rest of the day will be spent going to several learning stations in groups of two. By the end of the day, you will be fishing with confidence.
On Sunday, join other WI Women Fish members as they head out to the big lake. We will fish for walleye and crappie on either Castle Rock or Petenwell. This location is approx one hour from Saturdays venue.
