Lake Superior is one of my favorite places to fish. One trip we caught over 10 species in one day. From smelt, trout, whitefish, walleye, pike, coho, herring and even sturgeon. This trip is an annual one and we love it.
Due to the nature of this trip, it is for experienced Ice Anglers. We do have some loaner gear but its best be prepared to be self sufficient. Some Women do come early and fish Friday. We usually stay at the Crest Hotel and meet up for Friday night dinner. We hit the ice early Saturday and Sunday morning. Exact location of our access point on the Lake will be determined. Ice conditions play a factor on where we go. Its best if you have your own on ice transportation but we do have members willing to give you a lift if needed.
