This will be our 12th Fish Camp. The very first Fish Camp no one even brought a boat. Now we scramble to find enough boat parking. Women will bring kayaks, small boats, big boats and even bigger boats. This year we added an extra day to the event.
We arrive on Thursday and get to fishing right away. Thursday is a free day since some can’t make it until Friday, we save the opening ceremonies until then. It’s a great day to start looking for fish. As you may or may not know, we strive to share all the fishing information so all of our fishing sisters can catch some fish. Despite Sundays tournament, you will find gals sharing spots, techniques, and hot tackle tips. That is how we roll.
The theme this year is ” If she can do it, I Can do it!” This group has been motivating each other and supporting dreams, aspirations, and cheering each other on all the way. It is our secret sauce. You will feel it when you are there.
On Friday, we will be holding a Boaters Safety Course. We have invite Captain Ted to teach the class, and attendees with receive boater safety certification. This just may same you money on boat insurance. Captain Ted was my instructor for my USCG Captains Class and I can tell you, he is a super fun instructor. You never know what he will say, and I would bet he will be barefoot. Quite the character and I love him dearly.
Friday evening we have the opening ce
remony followed the by class options.
Saturday we have open time for fishing, more class options, learning stations and a group dinner , Master Angler Awards and raffle Saturday night.
Sunday we have our tournament and our annual club awards. A Sunday night stay is an added option if desired. For those who do not have a boat, we have two new pontoon boats available. Each are equipped with electronics and are set up for fishing. Captains chairs and sun shades are part of this new fleet. Pontoon Tickets are available. Here is the full schedule.
