Save the date for this Bass clinic to be held the weekend of July 15th and 16th. The clinic will start with a series of on- line videos that attendee’s can watch to prepare for the outing. All members are welcome to view and learn from the videos that are posted. The hands on clinic will be given on Friday night by Professional Tournament Angler, Samantha Sukupcak.
Learn various techniques including drop shotting, rigging soft plastics, swim baits, using tubes, topwater baits and jerk baits. There will also be a brief introduction to video game fishing, that will also cover some electronics hints and tips. Each participant will receive a goodie bag with tackle items that can be used for the weekend.
The exact location of the event will be determined. We found affordable lodging and have posted that info on the members only page. Class size is limited to 10 boaters and 10 co – anglers. You should have a boat to handle big water. No smaller than a 16 foot deep V or 18 feet for a bass-style. A trolling motor will be helpful but not required, and a drift sock (again helpful, but not required). Be sure to check the Federal waters requirements for safety equipment such a flares. Some experience in boating in big water is suggested.
The seminar will be held on Friday night with fishing on Saturday and Sunday. Some of us die hard walleye anglers try to get a little walleye fishing while we are up there as well.
If you are boat owner and want to attend, find another member to join you and plan on a fun weekend. Cost of the event will be $45 per boat. Register here.
