20TH ANNUAL FISH CAMP! 

Twenty years, ladies. TWENTY YEARS OF FISH CAMP!

This is our biggest event of the year, and for our 20th anniversary, we’re putting together a weekend that celebrates exactly what WI Women Fish has always been about:

Learning. Confidence. Independence. Mentoring. Friendship. And, of course… FISHING!

Our theme this year is “It’s So Much More Than Fishing”—and if you’ve ever been to Fish Camp, you know exactly what we mean. Fish Camp is a long weekend packed with hands-on classes, fishing, mentoring, networking, support, laughter, new friendships and probably a little bit of chaos. And this year, we’re putting a BIG emphasis on building skills that help you become a more knowledgeable, confident and independent angler and boater.

 So You Want to Buy a Boat?
What should you look for? What do you actually need? What questions should you ask?

 Trailer Maintenance
Learn the basics of keeping your trailer safe and ready to roll.

 Prop Removal, Installation & Maintenance
Because knowing how to take your own prop off is a pretty darn empowering feeling.

 How to Use Your Trolling Motor
More than just ON and OFF! Learn how to actually use its features to help you fish.

 Dial In Your Electronics
Stop staring at that expensive screen wondering what the heck you’re looking at.

 Rod & Reel Selection
Learn what makes different rods and reels better suited for different techniques.

 Trailer Backing
YES. We’re doing it. And YES, you can learn it.

 How to Drive a Boat
Build confidence behind the wheel in a supportive environment.

 Fishing Skill-Specific Classes

We’ll also have classes designed to help you become a better angler and add new techniques to your fishing toolbox.

And that’s just the beginning! Whether you’ve been fishing for 40 years or bought your first fishing rod last week, Fish Camp is for you. Members of ALL skill levels are encouraged to attend.

Don’t have a boat? That’s okay! We usually have plenty of boats and will work to find spots for members who don’t have one. You DO need to bring your own fishing gear.

We’ll kick everything off Thursday evening at 6PM with opening ceremonies. We ask everyone to arrive and register by 5PM so you have time to get settled into your room before the fun begins.

And because this is our 20TH YEAR, you can bet we’re planning a few extra special things along the way.  Some women come to Fish Camp to learn how to fish. Some come because they want to learn to back up their own trailer, run their own boat, understand their electronics or become more independent on the water. Some come because they need a weekend with women who understand them. And some come thinking they’re just going fishing…and leave realizing it’s so much more than fishing.
